We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Pelican Valley Care Center:
Part Time PM Shift Dietary Aide: Starting wage $10.75/hour. This position assists with food preparation, serving and clean up. No experience necessary.
Part Time Cook: We are looking for a part time cook to join our dietary team. This position will prepare, cook and serve meals to residents, families, guests and employees. Must be able to properly operate and maintain all equipment in the food preparation area. Maintain clean and safe, and efficiently organized work area. Accurately follow directions and convert recipes for various size groups. Follow through on best product usage, portion control, use of leftovers and follow production guides. No experience necessary, we will train!
On Call Nurses (RN or LPN): RN starting wage after differential is $26.50 on PMs, $27.00 nights, LPN is $21.50 on PMs, $22 on nights. Various shifts.
The RN/LPN is responsible for assessing and coordinating care needed for residents of an assigned station, nursing staff, and overall operation of their assigned station to ensure quality care. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsible for making doctor appointments as needed, prepare charts prior to the visits, have current information regarding resident condition, and accompany physician on rounds to provide updates.
Responsible for new admissions and hospital returns, ensuring care plans are updated, implemented, and maintained.
Monitors weight loss and nutrition of residents and report those nutritionally at risk to Dietary and follow through with recommendations.
Responsible for the orientation and work assignment of nursing personnel in their unit in order to ensure the nursing needs of their station.
Observes resident, records significant conditions, vital signs and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of any change in resident’s condition, and updates charts to reflect this.
Initiates a resident education plan according to the individualized needs of the resident, as prescribed by the physician, including family instruction.
Supervises and assists with resident’s activities of daily living.
Assists in coordinating the activities of nursing service with those of other departments.
This position requires a person who has graduated from an accredited school of nursing as well as having obtained RN/LPN licensure.
Full Time or Part Time PM Shift: Starting wage $15/hour plus $1.50/hour PM shift different. This position requires a person who is at least 16 years of age and has the ability to attend nursing assistant course and successfully complete test to become a Nursing Assistant/Registered within the state of working if not previously obtained. This position also requires the employee to maintain Minnesota registration as a Nursing Assistant/Registered. All employees must possess the ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills; work well, both individually and as part of a team, through respect, collaboration and dedication; and successfully interact with a diverse culture base. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, and demonstrate a positive attitude, high integrity and ethical awareness.
