Pelican Valley Care Center:

Director of Nursing: We are looking for a great leader to join our nursing department at Pelican Valley Care Center!

  • Manage all functions within the Nursing Department including resident cares, nursing staff and training.
  • Manage day to day functions of the nursing department in accordance with current federal and state regulations to ensure quality of care is provided at all times.
  • Nurse Managers, MDS Coordinator, Medical Records and Scheduler/Lead CNA report to the DON. The DON also provides indirect supervision of Charge Nurses and Nursing Assistants.  Has frequent contact with care center department managers, residents, family members, nursing staff and various members of the medical community.
  • Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota. A Bachelor of science degree in nursing is preferred along with three (3) years of management and geriatric and rehabilitation nursing experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of MDS processes and excellent clinical skills.
  • Must possess strong management, organizational, communication and analytical skills. Must have an ability to lead and work effectively with residents and families, coworkers, and staff who collectively possess a variety of personalities and backgrounds. Must have a good understanding of federal and state regulations and guidelines affecting nursing home care. Must have strong computer skills.  Must be knowledgeable of Nursing and Medical practices and procedures.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.

Dining Director: CDM, DTR or Dietitian

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations, overall administration and direction of the dietary department which includes the Care Center, Riverfront Manor and Riverfront on Main meals. • Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, evaluating and effectively directing the food service staff and programs in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer meals and dining services consistent with regulations and established best practices. • Providing residents, visitors and staff members with outstanding dining experiences by demonstrating strong leadership, creativity, integrity and resourcefulness as it pertains to quality, consistency and profitability. • Has responsibility as a member of the leadership team to participate in the planning and implementation of strategies and programming that assure high quality customer meals while achieving short and long-term operation goals and objectives for the organization. • Has frequent contact with staff, customers and families. Occasionally leaves the facility to attend work related and educational meetings and seminars.

Education and Experience Required:

• Requires a minimum of a two years of of management and operational experience in high volume foodservice establishments such as hotels, restaurants, healthcare or retirement living settings, or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience. • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) required. Registered Dietitian (RD) optional. Superior skills in high-volume hospitality management, special event planning, menu planning, equipment knowledge, overall food production and culinary skills, meal presentation and table service. • Must possess leadership qualities and be able to supervise and secure the cooperation of the food service personnel. Must have knowledge of food service management and operations, quality management, food sanitation, and clinical nutrition for the elderly. • Must handle challenges, changes and job pressures competently and positively. Must demonstrate self-improvement and desire to learn and grow. • Must be detailed oriented and able to perform duties with great accuracy, multi-task in a fast pace environment and prioritize job duties. • Must know that all residents, patients, clients, families, volunteers and coworkers are all customers, and will work to ensure that every interaction they have with them is positive. • Must complete and pass a state required background check. • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position. • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.

Part Time Day shift CNA: We are looking for a part time day shift CNA! Starting wage is $15.55/hour and the hours are 6am-2:30pm and 16 hours per two week pay period. This position includes every other weekend and holiday. Double pay on holidays!

Full Time and Part Time PM shift CNAs – **SIGN-ON  BONUS!! $2000 for full time and $1000 for part time!!**: We are seeking part time PM shift CNAs to join our team!  Starting wage is $15.55/hour plus $1.50 shift differential.  We offer flexible scheduling with 2pm -10:30pm shifts or 6pm – 11pm shifts available. Part Time Cook – **$1000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!: This position is responsible for proper food prep, cooking and service of food while recognizing special diets, resident’s dietary needs and requests. Maintains work area in proper order and follows established policies and procedures of the facility while demonstrating high levels of service. Complies with all federal and state regulations. No Experience Necessary, we will train! Starting wage is $13.64 per hour plus experience and the hours are 12pm-7:30pm.

Full Time Days RN and Part Time Days LPN or RN: We are looking for a full time and part time nurse to join our team on the day shift! The hours are 6am-2:30pm and 64 hours per two week pay period. We offer competitive wages and experience credit. Starting wage is $21/hour for LPNs and $27/hour for RNs! We offer scholarships and student loan reimbursement! The RN/LPN is responsible for assessing and coordinating care needed for residents of an assigned station, nursing staff, and overall operation of their assigned station to ensure quality care.  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for making doctor appointments as needed, prepare charts prior to the visits, have current information regarding resident condition, and accompany physician on rounds to provide updates.
  • Responsible for new admissions and hospital returns, ensuring care plans are updated, implemented, and maintained.
  • Monitors weight loss and nutrition of residents and report those nutritionally at risk to Dietary and follow through with recommendations.
  • Responsible for the orientation and work assignment of nursing personnel in their unit in order to ensure the nursing needs of their station.
  • Observes resident, records significant conditions, vital signs and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of any change in resident’s condition, and updates charts to reflect this.
  • Initiates a resident education plan according to the individualized needs of the resident, as prescribed by the physician, including family instruction.
  • Supervises and assists with resident’s activities of daily living.
  • Assists in coordinating the activities of nursing service with those of other departments.

This position requires a person who has graduated from an accredited school of nursing as well as having obtained RN/LPN licensure.

 

Full Time PM or NOC LPN or RN – **$2500 SIGN-ON BONUS!!:  We are looking for a full time PM and NOC nurse to join our team! The hours are 2pm-10:30pm for PMs and 10pm-6:30am for NOCs and 64 hours per two week pay period. We offer competitive wages and experience credit. Starting wage is $21/hour for LPNs and $27/hour for RNs plus $1.50 shift differential! We offer scholarships and student loan reimbursement! Resident Assistants provide direct care to our assisted living tenants, do light housekeeping, and administer medications. No CNA required, we provide all training! Starting wage is $14.50 plus $1.50 shift differential for PMs and $2 for NOCs!
